Vegetable Gardening | Grow Your Own Food With Foodcube

Looking into vegetable gardening?

Vegetable gardening is becoming more and more popular in Australia. Whether you're a first-time gardener or an experienced farmer, Foodcube wicking garden beds make it easy to have a thriving vegetable garden in your home.

What is Foodcube?

An Australian made self wicking garden bed designed to suit the harsh Australian environment and keep your plants alive for long periods with it’s large water holding capacity and wicking cones. This planter is perfect for your home, urban farm, office roof top, school or community garden.

Save time in the garden and let the Foodcube do the hard work for you!

Measuring 1150mm x 1150mm x 500mm, these Foodcube garden beds hold upto 300L of organic potting mix and provide 1m2 of growing area for you to create a mini farm, or connect multiple units together to form large urban farms.

With a growing depth of 315mm, plus the 150mm soil cones, your veggies and herbs will have room to grow and thrive!

How does Foodcube work?

16 soil cones extend below the tray into the huge 110 litre water reservoir and allow stored water to be “wicked” up into the main growing area above the tray and provide plants the optimal water they need day and night. No more hours spent watering the veggies morning and night with a hose, Foodcube does it for you!

Made in Australia from 80% recycled, food grade plastic, also Foodcube re-purposes offcut materials from the confectionary industry and turns them into a produce growing factory.

The built-in aeration system provides two air-posts in diagonal corners of each unit to allow oxygen to flow into the root system. The removable tray helps minimise root rot and lets trapped hot air escape to prevent overheating.

Also the removable trays allow easy cleaning access and built to last with 10 years of UV stabilisation added, Foodcube is a long lasting product with outdoor usage in mind.

Each Foodcube comes with two swivelling water levels that gives you control over the water levels in each unit or an entire row. Set high for a full soak to cope with a heat wave, create an air gap for better drainage or fully empty.

Handy attachment points are built into the reinforced top edge to enable hook attachments to secure netting or blanketing to allow units to butt up against each other.

25mm diameter pockets in each corner provide the perfect spot to slot in frames for shade, greenhouse or wind protection.

25mm square holes allow for a central trellis system to easily attach to grow climbing plants like tomatoes or beans vertically.

Connecting Foodcubes together

Foodcube's Corner Connector allows your garden beds to be set up at right angles and enables connection of the water reservoirs, which means you retain a single watering point. This results in the ability to set up your Foodcubes in varying designs including U-shape or L-shape.

Foodcube comes with a 90mm joining tube for easy connection to other Foodcubes or to a 90mm standard PVC pipe to enable connection to a tank or even your household downpipe.

An all-in-one system with a large built-in water reservoir, the Foodcube is an efficient and customisable solution for growing your own fresh produce!
