Building A Retaining Wall
A retaining wall can be used to level a sloped area, create a garden bed, or add some character to your outdoor space. Building a retaining wall is not too difficult, as long as you have the right materials, tools, and follow the manufacturer recommended installation guidelines.
Here are some quick steps on how to do this yourself at home:
Prep: Mark the location and height of the wall with stakes and string. Check for underground pipes or cables before digging.
Build: Follow instructions as per wall type (eg. Concrete Sleepers, Lightweight Retaining Wall, Interlocking Blocks).
Backfill: Install a drainage pipe and gravel behind the wall. Backfill the soil and compact it.
