Aqua Mix® ProBlock – Pre Sealer is the ultimate choice for protecting porous stone and tile during installation. ProBlock - Pre-Sealer Key Features
- Perfect for six-sided pre-sealing (dip sealing) applications.
- Allows moisture vapour transmission while protecting surfaces.
- Functions effectively as a grout release.
- Water-based and eco-friendly with low VOC content.
- Will not interfere with adhesive bonding.
Applications
ProBlock is ideal for pre-sealing or grout release on natural stone surfaces such as granite, basalt, marble, limestone, sandstone, bluestone, travertine, slate, and more. It’s also effective on concrete pavers, bricks, and masonry. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
Limitations
- Not intended as a final surface sealer.
- Avoid application on non-recommended surfaces to prevent white film formation.
- Not a waterproofing agent and incompatible with enhancing sealers on the top surface.
ProBlock - Pre-Sealer Application Instructions
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from existing sealers or coatings.
- Apply a single coat, covering all sides for maximum protection.
- Remove excess product within five minutes to avoid residue.
- Allow at least 48 hours for curing before installation and 2 hours before grouting.
Drying Times
- Before Installation: Allow the sealer to cure for at least 48 hours before installation.
- Before Grouting: When used as a pre-sealer, ensure a minimum curing time of 2 hours before applying grout.
- Curing Conditions: Maintain good airflow and ensure the surface remains completely dry throughout the curing process. Do not allow any moisture or water contact during this time.
Coverage
Each litre of ProBlock provides coverage of approximately 4–14m² per coat when applied to all six sides of the material. Coverage depends on surface porosity, temperature, humidity, and the method of application.
