Limitations

While Seal & Finish Low Sheen is a versatile and highly effective sealer, it does have certain limitations:

• Not suitable for glazed ceramic or porcelain tiles.
• Not recommended for use around pools, showers, or areas with standing water.
• Not intended for countertops.
• Ensure surfaces are clean and dry to reduce slip hazards.
• Do not allow the product to contact any surfaces not specified for use.

Pre-Grout

Apply over clean stone or tile at least 2 hours before grouting. Follow the application procedures outlined above. For a high-sheen finish on interior surfaces only, apply Aqua Mix® Floor Shine & Hardener over Seal & Finish Low Sheen. Allow a minimum of 2 hours drying time before applying Aqua Mix® finishes.

IMPORTANT: Enhancing sealers should not be applied over a previously sealed surface. This includes surfaces pre-sealed with Aqua Mix® ProBlock or any other pre-sealer, as well as surfaces treated with Aqua Mix® Grout Release.

Pre-sealers and grout release products can cause enhancing sealers to highlight the stone unevenly, resulting in a patchy appearance. Ensure no prior treatments remain on the surface before applying Stone Enhancer.

Seal & Finish Low Sheen Preparation and Application

Preparing the Surface: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of wax, oils, or any previous finishes. Use Aqua Mix® Sealer & Coating Remover to strip off any old acrylic or wax finishes. Test a small area first to check if the surface is ready for sealing. For new installations, ensure tiles are dry for at least 48 hours before applying.

Application Process: Apply 2-3 coats of Seal & Finish Low Sheen with a clean, dense sponge, brush, or paint pad. Allow 30 minutes of drying time between each coat. For interior use, you can enhance the finish with Aqua Mix® Floor Shine & Hardener, applied over the Low Sheen sealer for a high-gloss finish. Ensure the surface is completely dry before use. Surface traffic can be allowed after 6 hours, but a full cure takes 24 hours.

Cleaning Tools

After application, clean tools immediately with mineral spirits to maintain their condition and avoid product buildup.

Drying Time

• Ready for Surface Traffic: 6 hours after the final coat.
• Full Cure: 24 hours.
• Keep Dry: Ensure the area remains dry for at least 12 hours.
